About Sri Arunodayam
For over two decades, Sri Arunodayam Charitable Trust in Chennai has provided abandoned and rescued children with intellectual disabilities a safe, home-like environment with therapy, education, and holistic care a place where dignity and belonging come first.
About Prayatna – A Pathway to Livelihood
and Independence
Prayatna is Sri Arunodayam’s vocational training unit for children above 18 with special needs. Here, individuals with intellectual disabilities learn skills that help them participate meaningfully in society and work toward a dignified livelihood. From tailoring and handcrafting to textile and accessory making, every product reflects focus, skill, pride, and the desire to contribute with purpose. Prayatna offers not just training, but the confidence that their work matters and is truly valued.
